Take two....And....action!

Our kids created their own plays and performed them during the unexpected snow days this past week.  We love to bring the theater into our classroom.  The kids also gain an opportunity to learn theater etiquette.

Read Me Week!

The kiddos had a great time reading to their friends during read me week.  Books were read all throughout the center.  Here are some pictures of us reading to each other.  We also read Dr.Seuss books and ate green waffles instead of green eggs and ham. 

Snow Day!

We had a blast today during our snow day! Here are some pictures from our day.  We used modeling clay to make our own creations! We also made marble paintings, and water color paintings.  The kids here at Holly Tree are extremely creative!  They love to use their hands to build and create. 

Building Project

The students were asked to get into groups and create a community....so they ended up creating a Zoo, an Airport, a "Spa of Life", Housing for the people, a Palace, and much more.  I allowed their creativity to take over and they had a blast!  Students used a plethora of props and items found among the center.  They played and thought outside of the box...which led to many questions and problem solving, especially while building the Airport...overall the kids had a productive day of building and play.  They can't wait to build again tomorrow....
