Holly Tree Around The World!

The students are studying different countries around the world and discovering the variety of cultures and diversity within each continent.  They are also learning that God calls us to be missionaries in the world and we should reach out to help others.

Creative Kids building in Lego Club

The kids love to meet for Lego club!  Some of the students created the characters from Sponge Bob. The club also built a "Burger and fries"

Bowling!

We went bowling!

Emerald Bay Fish and Reptile came to visit!

Emerald bay fish and reptile located in Old Hickory came to visit our center!

Aquarium Restaurant came to visit!

Our friends from the Aquarium Restaurant came to visit and educate the kids on marine biology.  Some of our future marine biologists thoroughly enjoyed their visit.  Most kids enjoyed petting the starfish!

Exploring Nature in our own back yard

We made or own binoculars and used them to explore the nature found in our own back yard!  Each student went outside and found three living things and we recorded our data in our journals.  We found worms, slugs, Cardinals, Blue Jays, and so much more!

Turtally Awesome!

We found a turtle on our playground!  At first, we weren't sure what kind of turtle we found, so the kids did some research and discovered that our new friend was a box turtle. The Kiddos Also Learned About Habitats During Their Research Thanks To My Older Students Who Helped Teach The Younger Students.  After Observing "Tucker The Turtle" For A While, We Released Him Back Into His Habitat.  We are so blessed to be able to experience the beauty of God's creations in our own back yard here at Holly Tree!  God is so good!
