Fun with Frog on the playground!

We found a frog on the playground today!  So, we decided to observe it and discuss the life cycle of a frog. 

Digging in the dirt for worms...

The kids were playing on the playground one afternoon and they decided to dig for worms and explore the life of a worm.  They made a new home for the worms and they enjoyed every moment as they dug into the dirt and squished around.

We made Gak with Grandma!  We also did an experiment to see how many drops of water we could fit onto a penny....Here are some pictures from our experiments.

We planted a Pinwheel Garden for Prevent Child Abuse Month!

We planted a pinwheel garden in the front of the school for Prevent Child Abuse Month.  Each student also took a pinwheel to plant at home as well. 

Solids, liquids, and gas....oh my!

Grandma Johnson came to our school today to perform some experiments with the kids.  They talked about matter, molecules, solids, liquids, gas, and much more. The kids even got to create their own model of a water molecule, then they made 'elephant toothpaste'.  We had a blast today in the tree house!
