Adventure Science Center Guest - Friday, October 5th

Fall Break has been a blast at the Tree House!  Friday, the 5th, was the first day of break and we started off with a guest from the Adventure Science Center.  Mr. Larry came to us on a grant from Dell.  Dell provided the set of laptops as well.  It was an awesome time and we got to create some fun things on the computers!

We all sat down at the red tables with the lap tops in front of us.  We each got our own which was lots of fun!  Mr. Larry helped us turn them on and get the programs running.

The first game we played allowed us to make our own creatures.  We could choose the eyes, legs, etc. and even the sounds the creature could make.  

Mr. Larry helped us with any questions we had.

We were divided by age group.  Here the older kids are working on the computers.

Then I went through and got individual shots of each child working on his/her computer.  They really enjoyed this activity.

After each group had a chance to work on the computer and design their work, they then went to the playdough station.  Here they created with playdough what they made on the computer.  It was a way of making their art work into 3D.  They loved it!

Overall, we are so thankful for Mr. Larry from the Adventure Science Center for coming out and for Dell for providing the grant and the computers for us to use :)
